WHAT IS DRAWING ?
Drawing is the art of making any object through a line on a drawing paper.
TYPES OF DRAWING
There are two types of drawing
- ARTISTIC DRAWING . ( Free hand or Model drawing )
- ENGINEERING DRAWING. ( Instrument drawing )
- ARTISTIC DRAWING : Such as cinema, slides, advertisement boards etc. Artistic drawing is the art of repressing an object in the form of an artistic drawing by imagining or placing an object.
- ENGINEERING DRAWING : In engineering drawing, the art of showing buildings, roads, machines etc. on drawing paper is called engineering drawing.
TYPES OF ENGINEERING DRAWING
- MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DRAWING OR MACHINE DRAWING
- CIVIL ENGINEERING DRAWING
- ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DRAWING
- GEOMETRICAL ENGINEERING DRAWING
- MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DRAWING : The art of representation of mechanical engineering drawing object such as Machine , Machine parts etc. on a paper is called mechanical engineering drawing.
- CIVIL ENGINEERING DRAWING : The art of representation of civil engineering objects such as Roads , Buildings , Bridges , Dams etc. on paper is called civil engineering drawing .
- ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC DRAWING : The art of representation of electrical objects such as Motor , Generators , Poles , Towers , Transformers , Wiring diagram etc. on a paper is called electrical engineering drawing .
- GEOMETRICAL ENGINEERING DRAWING : The art of representation of Geometrical object such as Rectangle , Square , Cube , Cone , Cylinder , Sphere , etc . on a paper is called geometrical engineering drawing.

1. PLANE GEOMETRICAL DRAWING.
2. SOLID GEOMETRICAL DRAWING.
- PLANE GEOMETRICAL DRAWING : The art of representation of objects having two dimension Example : Length and Width such as Square , Rectangle , Triangle , etc . on a paper is called plane geometrical drawing .
- SOLID GEOMETRICAL DRAWING : The art of representation of objects having three dimensions Example : Length , Width and Height such as Cube , Prism , Cylinder , Sphere etc. on a paper is called solid engineering dtrawing.
- ENGINEERING DRAWING : In engineering drawing, the art of showing buildings, roads, machines etc. on drawing paper is called engineering drawing.
